Hong Kong Baptist Hospital is always dedicated to fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the aim of spreading God’s love and care. In collaborating with charitable organisations and NGOs, we participate in activities covering aspects of Medical Related ProjectsEnvironmentVolunteer, and Charity to support the underprivileged and needy, so as to build up a harmonious community.

Medical Related Projects

Building on our medical expertise, we provide free health screening programmes and surgical subsidies to serve the needs of different groups of people:

  • Cleft Lip & Palate Charity Treatment Project. Since 2019, we have collaborated with the Hong Kong Association for Cleft Lip and Palate to provide charitable treatment for children and youth aged 25 and under who are affected by cleft lip and palate.
  • Free Health Screening in support of FSMA Fundraising Programme. Sponsorship of 20 free health screening packages at AMC for FSMA raffle ticket prizes.
  • Free Breast Screening Programme. In the eighth year of partnership with community groups, the programme offers free breast screening to eligible participants.
  • Homecare Hospice for the Dementia & Frail Elders Programme. Sponsored to Haven of Hope Homecare Hospice for the Dementia & Frail Elders Programme to support home care and psychosocial support services for elders with moderate to late-stage cognitive decline or dementia, as well as for their caregivers.
  • Free Health Check in support of Carers of Chronic Patients. Sponsored 80 health screening packages for the Salvation Army to support carers of elderly patient with chronic illnesses.
  • Free Eye Checkup. Eye Centre staff and volunteers supported “Rotary Health Promotion Day for Elderly” by providing free health eye checkup and delivering health talk.
  • Family Health Day. We organized “Family Health Day 2025” at HKBH East Kowloon Medical Centre (EKMC) to provide free health checks, consultations, and health activities for 33 underprivileged families (100 participants in total). The event was co-organized with the Hong Kong Medical Association (HKMA) and supported by the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS). A total of 106 staff volunteers supported the event.
  • Carers of CAREEPS Platform. We became a partner merchant on the CarerEPS Platform, offering exclusive psychological and physical health benefits to caregivers and supporting their wellbeing.

Environment

“Think and act green” plays an important role in our workplace and therefore we introduce a series of environmental policies and organize activities to raise staff’s awareness in saving our planet:

  • Green Power Hike. Since 2027, we have supported Green Power Hike annually. In 2026, we organized 5 teams with a total 18 staff joined “Medical Services Cup”. We successfully gained two awards: “Champion” at 25km and “2nd Runner up” at 50 km.
     
  • Countryside and Shoreline Clean-up Campaigns. In partnership with Gammon Construction Industry, we organized the event aimed to reduce pollution and protecting marine ecosystems by removing debris and waste from shorelines.
  • HKBH Recycling Campaign. We regularly organize the collection of recyclable materials, including toner cartridges, mixed metals, plastics, carton boxes, red packets etc. In addition, we donate computer products, second-hand apparels to social welfare organizations.

Volunteer

Our team “Volunteer 222” joins hands with other community charities and NGOs to connect people from different sectors and share the vision of helping and giving:

  • The Elderly Visiting Team. The service aims to reduce cognitive decline & slow down degeneration by playing toys and games with elders. The volunteers regularly visit different social service units for providing volunteer services.
  • 3 Legged Charity Walk —-Easter Island Adventure 2025. Our volunteers sponsored and participated in the Christian Action’s 3-Legged Charity Walk, where we received “Gold Sponsor Award”. A total of 25 staff volunteers supported the event.
     
  • EKMC Health Care Day. We held the two-day EKMC Health Care Day at TKO Plaza. The event offered free health check-ups, professional consultations, and health education displays. A total of 102 staff volunteers, along with 10 student volunteers from KGV, supported the event.
  • 「木韻長青義工計劃」We collaborated with the Ma Tau Wai Lutheran Centre for the Elderly and Gammon Construction Industry to run the「木韻長青義工計劃」. Through the eco-documentary “Fallen Treasures”, the ” Natural Woodcraft Workshop ” and home visits, the programme provided care and support for elderly residents of Ma Tau Wai Estate.
  • Volunteer Award Ceremony. 17 staff volunteers participated in the “Volunteer Award Ceremony” organized by Ebenezer School and Home for the Visually Impaired, where we received the Bronze Award. Through the dedicated efforts of our volunteer team in supporting visually impaired elders, we hope that they can receive more support and care, enhance their self-esteem and self-confidence, and ultimately promote social harmony and inclusion.
  • Hong Kong Baptist Convention Walkathon and Health Booth. Our volunteers contributed to the event by providing BMI, blood sugar, and blood pressure measurements, as well as nurse consultations.
  • Hong Kong Baptist Assembly 60th Anniversary Open DayOur volunteers supported the event by providing BMI, blood sugar, and blood pressure measurements.

Charity

We organize different types of meaningful and creative activities to support charitable organizations in achieving the goal of serving others with love and kindness.

  • 2025-2026 World Heart Day Carnival cum Run for HeartTwo doctors and 8 staffs supported the Hospital Cup event, which aimed to share vital messages about maintaining a healthy heart and embracing healthier lifestyle habits.
  • Run for Paralympians. Since 2016, we have sponsored the Sports Association for the Physically Disabled’s “Run for Paralympians” through the Marathon Charity Programme, raising fund to support disabled athletes in Hong Kong.
  • SKIP A MEAL. We supported the World Vision’s “SKIP A MEAL” by organizing in-house Talent Show and Charity Sale to raise funds. Thanks to the generous support and participation of over 500 Baptist Hospital staff.
  • Pink Walk. Since 2010, we have sponsored the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation’s “Pink Walk” through raising funds to support the breast cancer support and advocacy work while promoting public awareness of breast cancer threats in Hong Kong.
  • Walk with PRIDE. Our volunteers supported “Walk with PRIDE” event, which aimed to raise funds to nurture of visually impaired children and teenagers, giving them the opportunity to realize their potential
  • Children Development Fund (Batch 10). We sponsored the Hong Kong Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service Children Development Fund (Batch 10) – Kwun Tong District, Kowloon Tong, Yau Tsim Mong District, and Sham Shui Po District. Through donations, we supported the development and needs of underprivileged children in the community, encouraging them to realize their potential and pursue their dreams.
