Introduction

Physiotherapy

Managed by a team of professional registered physiotherapists, the Physiotherapy Department offers a wide spectrum of professional physiotherapy services and support to in-patients and out-patients. By utilizing therapeutic exercises and the modalities of sound, light, heat, cold, and electricity, our physiotherapists help patients ease their discomfort or disability and to promote rehabilitation.

Services Scope

  • Examining and evaluating patients with health-related conditions, impairment, functional limitation and disability to determine a suitable diagnosis, prognosis and intervention;
  • Alleviating impairment and functional limitation by designing, implementing and modifying therapeutic interventions; and
  • Preventing injury, impairment, functional limitation and disability by promoting and maintaining fitness, health and quality of life among the patients.

 

Areas of Specialty

  • Orthopedic cases: pain relief and rehabilitation for neck and back pain, tendinitis, fracture and sports injury
  • Surgical cases: maintenance and enhancement of lung function before and after operation
  • Medical cases: chest physiotherapy and pulmonary rehabilitation for pulmonary problem; rehabilitation for cardiac problems or stroke
  • Paediatric cases: chest physiotherapy for lung problems
  • Neurological cases: pain relief for neurological pain cases, functional rehabilitation for muscle weakness or motor function problem cases
  • Others: vestibular rehabilitation and weight management

Daily 9:00am – 5:00pm
