Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery Centre
The Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery Centre is established with the purpose of providing high quality surgical service to patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases. Combined with advanced technology and a dedicated team of surgeon and nurses experienced in endoscopic and minimally invasive surgery, the Centre aims to treat our patients with minimal trauma and faster recovery.
What is Endoscopic Surgery?
Endoscopic surgery is performed through the natural body openings or small skin incisions. Instead of big incisions required in conventional surgeries, various miniature instruments can be inserted through the endoscope or small incisions to perform the maneuvers necessary for the operation. Endoscopic procedures result in less tissue trauma, less or even no scarring (woundless), less pain, shorter hospital stay and faster recovery.
