Established in 1963, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital is a Christian and non-profit making private hospital dedicated to serving the public and striving to achieve our mission of "In the service of man, for the glory of God". To cope with our continuing growth, we would like to invite high calibre candidates to join our Hospital.

Accounting Officer (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounts payable system and handle tax returns related to the remuneration of doctors and healthcare professionals
  • Reconcile control accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure data integrity
  • Assist with financial system enhancements, user acceptance testing (UAT), and process improvements
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc financial statistics, reports, and data analysis to support management decisions
  • Assist with the price-setting process

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience; background in a large private organization or the healthcare industry is highly preferred
  • Sound knowledge of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills (VBA development capabilities for small applications is a major advantage)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • A proactive team player who can also work independently and thrive under tight deadlines
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
