Assistant IT Support Officer (Contract)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for IT services across the organization
  • Respond to user inquiries through in‑person assistance, phone support, and remote access tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues by guiding users through standard problem‑solving procedures, ensuring timely follow‑up until resolution
  • Diagnose and address problems related to computer software, hardware, and peripheral devices
  • Deliver training sessions for internal staff on commonly used IT applications

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT support and desktop management
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and diagnostic abilities
  • Good communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset
  • Solid technical knowledge in desktop security, endpoint management, and related technologies
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows Server environments and basic networking concepts
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL) are preferred
