About HKBH East Kowloon Medical Centre (EKMC)
Established in 1963, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital (HKBH) started to provide hospital services to the public. HKBH has embarked on its Master Redevelopment Plan since 2020 to enhance and expand its services. Upon the establishment of HKBH Ambulatory Medical Centre (AMC) in December 2020 located in Kwun Tong, HKBH East Kowloon Medical Centre (EKMC), the first comprehensive ambulatory medical landmark in East Kowloon district, is expected to commence services in December 2024.
Located at 8 Yan Yip Street, Kwun Tong, only 6 minute’s walk from Ngau Tau Kok MTR station, this 30-storey medical centre provides general and various specialist outpatient services, including general and specialist outpatient services, including paediatrics, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat (ENT), general surgery, diabetes and endocrinology, cardiology, respiratory medicine, etc. EKMC also provides laboratory and diagnostic radiology services, as well as day surgery, dialysis, and chemotherapy services. In terms of allied health care, physiotherapy and nutrition services are provided, as well as rehabilitation and disease management to meet the medical needs of the community.
In line with the advancement of SMART elements, EKMC is pioneering the use of self-service medication system to enhance service efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, our ‘BH e-connect’ mobile app for patients will be fully implemented when EKMC commences services. Users can conveniently book appointments, utilize payment services, access medication and test reports via the mobile app, aim to provide a high quality healthcare service for the community.
