HKBH East Kowloon Medical Centre (EKMC) has successfully attained Platinum rating under the “BEAM Plus” New Building, the highest rating of the accreditation issued by the Hong Kong Green Building Council.
This recognition affirms the Centre’s outstanding achievements in sustainable building design, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and overall environmental performance. It also marks EKMC’s leading role in advancing green building practices and sustainable development.
Ms Grace WONG, Director of Administration and Planning of Hong Kong Baptist Hospital (HKBH), said: “As a key ambulatory healthcare facility of HKBH, EKMC has been planned, designed and operated with sustainability as a core principle. Achieving the BEAM Plus Platinum rating is a testimony to our efforts in demonstrating the Hospital’s commitment to integrating corporate social responsibility with our healthcare mission.”
