Haemodialysis Centre offers high-quality haemodialysis services to patients with renal disease, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere and tailored care. The facility is outfitted with 40 state-of-the-art Gambro Artis dialysis machines.
Furthermore, all medical dialysis products utilized at the Centre are single-use disposables, which are not sterilized or reused. This practice minimizes the risk of infection from residual sterilization materials and guarantees the effectiveness of the dialysis treatment.
In 2010, HKBH participated in the HA’s Haemodialysis Public-Private Partnership Programme (HD PPP), which is a partnership between HA and the private sector to provide haemodialysis services to eligible patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) who are under HA’s care.
- Advanced equipment:
-The Hemoscan is capable of measuring changes in the patient’s blood volume during treatment so as to minimise problems arising from blood pressure during treatment.
– Diascan measures the clearance of the treatment without the use of any additional consumables. The Diascan measures the clearance of the treatment without the use of any additional consumables and allows the patient to know the results of the treatment even before regular check-ups.
-The use of Ultracontrol in HDF therapy maximises substitution volume and improves clearance.
The ‘auto setup/pre-fill feature’ of the dialysis machine reduces the amount of time healthcare workers spend in the machine, allowing more time to help patients with their needs.
- Centralised Water Purification System:
Fully automated system with a safety alarm light at the nursing station so that nurses can be aware of the operation of the central water purification system while working at the nursing station.
The whole system is heat sterilised and safe.
Computerised monitoring system with 24-hour contact with professional engineers to minimise the risk of errors.
- Professionals:
All nurses are experienced renal nurses.
Certified in Nephrology
Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
- A blood analyzer (I-stat) is accessible:
This device can rapidly provide the patient’s blood report, eliminating the need to send blood specimens to a laboratory or hospital, thereby enhancing efficiency and minimizing the potential for errors.
- The nursing station is outfitted with a Central Monitor System:
Through this monitoring system, nurses can oversee the functioning of the dialysis machine while performing their duties at the nursing station.
