Located at the HKBH East Kowloon Medical Centre (EKMC), the HKBH East Kowloon Community Pharmacy is dedicated to providing professional, convenient and affordable pharmaceutical services to the community. Managed by registered pharmacists, the Pharmacy plays the role of a “Community Health Guardian”, safeguarding medication safety and supporting health management for the public.
- Dispensing according to doctors’ prescriptions
– Dispensing of medications according to valid prescriptions from registered doctors in Hong Kong, including the prescriptions of Self-Financed Items from the Hospital Authority, and provide medication counselling to patients.
- Management of mild ailments and dispensing of over-the-counter (OTC) medications
– Pharmacists can dispense OTC medications (such as those for the common cold and flu, gastrointestinal discomfort, allergies, painkillers, etc.) for minor ailments and provide guidance on medication use.
– Based on the patient’s condition and needs, pharmacists will determine the dosage and quantity of the medication to be dispensed.

– Pharmacists can advise the general public on common problems on medication use, such as side effects, drug interactions, and administration methods.
