As our nursing education emphasizes on nurturing the growth and development of students’ personal character as well as professional competency, we offer a three-week Residential Programme at the commencement of the Programme. This programme is more than allowing students to live in dormitories. During these three weeks, Resident chaplains who stay with the students provide guidance and counseling on personal matters as well as building team spirit. A spiritual care programme is also organized throughout students’ two-year study, with the support of the Hospital Pastoral Care Team. Our students personally experience the meaning and practice of holistic care provided by the teaching and pastoral care teams, and thus will in turn be able to provide holistic care to their patients.

The School has inherited the Hospital’s philosophy of Corporate Social Responsibility. We are committed to serve the community as volunteers with our expertise in health promotion and education. Our students take part in the Baptist Hospital Volunteer Services team to conduct health education and assessment for the general public. Students also help in numerous health fairs and fund-raising activities for the promotion of health. Students are able to apply what they have learnt in classroom to serve outside the Hospital.

Our students have opportunities to involve in various exchange programmes and visit local and international professional institutions during their two years’ studies. Such experience broadens their professional horizon, deepens their understanding of nursing knowledge and expands their networks with medical and nursing leaders in Hong Kong and beyond.

The School is located at Kowloon East and fully furnished with facilities for classroom and simulated teaching and learning. The School has several good size classrooms and practical rooms, a quiet library and computer room with access to electronic learning resources such as ebrary and Mosby’s Nursing Consult, and a spacious student lounge.
