Sleep related breathing disorder is a prevalent medical condition affecting up to 2 - 4% of the adult population. Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) is the most common condition in sleep disordered breathing, it affects 4% of males and 2% of females among the middle-aged population as well as 25% of the elderly. Unfortunately, it remains largely under-diagnosed and under-treated in the community. Our Sleep Apnoea Clinic & Laboratory comes with the new state-of-the-art equipment and techniques like the Polysomnography System and the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) treatment, which help doctors to deliver accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Diagnosis Overnight Polysomnography which records EEG, EOG, chin & leg EMG, ECG, nasal airflow, abdominal and chest wall movements and digital oximetry.

Treatment Treatment is carried out by nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP). Surgical intervention to correct nasal obstruction, remove redundant palatal tissues, tonsils and adenoids are sometimes indicated.
