Hong Kong Baptist Hospital opens the new Chemotherapy Centre at 6/F, Block C. With an expanded environment, the Centre provides 8 beds. To ensure a timely treatment to patients irrespective of adverse weather conditions, the Centre will maintain normal service hours when typhoon signal No.8 or black rainstorm warning signal is in force.

In a more spacious environment, the Centre provides 8 beds including 7 advanced recliners and one bed, which can serve up to 16 patients a day. The recliners provide great flexibility, patients choose the best position to sit or lie down for receiving treatment. They can enjoy personal LCD TV and radio, together with Internet ports, these entertainment options let them unwind for the treatment. Experienced nurses at the Centre will provide professional support and counseling to patients. If patients suffer from any unusual or serious discomfort after treatment, they should contact the nurses at the Centre for consultation arrangement immediately. Patients can also contact their doctor-in-charge for arrangement outside the service hours of the Centre.

Note: Accompanied patients can still access the Centre for uninterrupted treatment under safe conditions. If patients cannot come to the Centre for treatment, please contact the Centre in advance for arranging another treatment date.
