Social Capital Builders (SCB) Award

The Social Capital Builders (SCB) Award, which is supported by the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) of the Labour and Welfare Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, is bestowed on organizations and projects that foster the development of social capital in Hong Kong. This provides an opportunity for various sectors of the community to witness and share these achievements.

In 2012, HKBH is one of the corporate partners being granted the SCB logo in recognition of our contributions to social capital building in Hong Kong. The piece of jigsaw puzzle in the SCB Award logo highlights our need to pool together cross-sectoral efforts to build a social capital network of reciprocity and help Hong Kong move towards a more prosperous and humane society.

To strive to maintain an international level of excellence in healthcare services, Hong Kong Baptist Hospital is actively participating in different international accreditation programmes. HKBH has participated in the biannual survey under Trent Accreditation Scheme since 2000, and it has been awarded accreditations by the Trent Accreditation Board consecutively. Besides, HKBH took part in the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) survey in 2010, and has successfully achieved encouraging results and awarded the ACHS Accreditation.

Trent Accreditation

HKBH was awarded full accreditation for four years by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) in 2010. The Hospital has passed all 45 criteria, and has been awarded 11 "Extensive Achievements" for its excellent level of performance. The achievement of high quality and strong focus on patient care service is recognized, which enhanced public’s confidence on local healthcare organizations. HKBH will continue evaluating the service quality and effectiveness, so as to fulfil the mission of holistic healthcare and commitment of providing quality medical service.

10 Consecutive Years Caring Organisation Logo

Corporate social responsibility is fundamental to HKBH’s culture. Since the launch of Caring Organisation Scheme in 2002, HKBH has been awarded the Caring Organisation Logo for ten consecutive years. Apart from the provision of quality medical services, we always strive to demonstrate our care to the community. The logo affirmed our commitment for the community.

HKBH has demonstrated its caring over the past decade. Apart from supporting employees’ volunteering and promoting environmental protection in the daily operation; HKBH also shows its caring for its staff by offering various benefits and supporting services.

Launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service, the Caring Organisation Scheme aims to build a cohesive society by promoting corporate social responsibility. To qualify for the Caring Organisation Logo, applicants are assessed in three scopes: caring for the communities, caring for the employees and caring for the environment.
