Checklist for the Day of Laser Refractive Surgery

1. The surgery will take approximately 30 minutes.
2. Contact lenses wearers must stop wearing their lenses prior to the surgery:
• Soft contact lenses: you should stop wearing them 7 days before the surgery
• Rigid gas-permeable or hard contact lenses: you should stop wearing them 3 weeks before the surgery.
3. On the day of surgery, you can eat normally and take any medications as usual.
4. You are recommended to wear comfortable cotton clothes with buttons or zipper in the front, and avoid wearing pullovers or woolen clothes.
5. Stop using eye cosmetics, eye care products, perfume, cologne, and hair spray, etc. on the day of surgery.
6. Make sure you wash your hair before the surgery as you cannot wash your hair for 1-2 days after the surgery.
7. Make sure you are accompanied by a friend or relative when leaving.
