Out-Patient Services
Hong Kong Baptist Hospital revolutionized its outpatient clinic services by introducing a new two-tier system on August 1, 2007. The two-tier system, which consists of General Outpatient Clinic, Specialist Outpatient Clinic and Off Hour Clinic, provides patients with round-the-clock diagnostics, treatments and health care of high quality.
Under the two-tier system, walk-in patients will be directed to the General Outpatient Clinic if there is no request for specialist clinic service or particular doctor. Our General Outpatient Clinic also provides family medicine services such as health screening. Patients with referral or those who request for particular specialist service will be directed to the Specialist Outpatient Clinic. This Clinic is staffed by a team of experienced specialist consultants to offer a range of high-quality specialist medical services.
To improve accessibility to the public, the service hours of General Outpatient Clinic are extended and an Off Hour Clinic is set up to provide 24-hour medical services. The Off Hour Clinic operates outside the service hours of General and Specialist Outpatient Clinics, patients can obtain doctor’s consultation and treatment even at midnight or on public holidays.
The quality and diversity of our Outpatient Clinic services are greatly enhanced under the two-tier system. It brings about higher efficiency in allocating patients to General and Specialist Outpatient Clinics respectively. Patients can therefore benefit from more efficient and the most suitable medical services at our Outpatient Clinic.
